About Campus Life Departments
Child Care Services offers day care facilities and programs via the Caltech Children's Center (CCC) and the Child Educational Center (CEC)
Housing provides accommodations for faculty and students in a variety of facilities: dorms, residence apartments, single-family houses and apartment buildings.
Rental Listing Services is an up-to-date listing of non-Caltech rental accommodation, drawn from a variety of sources. This service is provided as a service to the community and Caltech not responsible for the accuracy of the information
Student Life Office hires RA’s, organizes Final Exam Support Kits, sponsors the Check Out LA program (which pays for undergraduates to attend the Distinguished Speaker Series), helps coordinate the off-campus and Avery housing lotteries and new student orientation, and provides funds for House events. Student Life also administers the Don Shepard Fun Fund and the Don Shepard Essay Contest.
Caltech Dining Services is comprised of many dining facilities with full catering
services at Caltech. In addition, dining services operates a convenience
store at Caltech , all dining and catering services at JPL and also
oversees vending services at JPL.
The Caltech Bookstore sells textbooks, trade books, Caltech insignia merchandise, office supplies and gifts. Special ordering is available on most types of merchandise. The bookstore also sells stamps and has a kiosk for customers to leave film for developing.
Caltech Card Services serves the Institute's personal identification needs by providing the Caltech community with photo ID cards, maintaining purchasing services via the magnetic stripe encoding, and partnering with Security to allow secure card access to select areas. Caltech Card Services administers all Caltech Card Programs and ID card related equipment.
